my MRi revealed that i have the beginnings of degenerative joint disease, (also known as osteoarthritis) in my right hip. while i am obviously not thrilled to hear this, it’s good to know, after more than 3 years of pain, what the heck is wrong with my hip. seems like i should be able to do a lot of things to help the situation, which is good news. i just joined my neighborhood gym, so i’ll be over there doing a lot of treadmill action i expect. losing some weight should help, too.
tonight i am heading over to see my friend, king bonk, do a little storytelling and singing with andru bemis at the germantown mennonite church. if anyone’s interested in going, it’s at 21 West Washington Lane, starts at 7:30 and costs a measly $5. i can tell you that both of these guys are great performers. you can hear them on a couple of our podcasts. hope to see you there!

Oh wow. I have trouble with my hip too but the pain sometimes shoots all the way down my leg. I have no idea what it is but it can be agrivated by being on my feet too long.
